Product Information:
Originally built as an ATSF GP7 (#2741), this locomotive was rebuilt by the Santa Fe in Cleburne, Texas, during the 1970s. The modernization gave it an updated, chopped-nose look, new “Topeka” cab, and a new number (#2175). It was later sold to the Bangor and Aroostook in Maine, where it was renumbered to #23. Following changes in corporate ownership, the locomotive joined the Montreal, Maine and Atlantic roster under the same number, before being acquired by Morristown and Erie in 2014.
