Product Information:
This detailed, ready-to-run Atlas Master HO Scale Postwar 50' Single-Door Boxcar is ideal for your 1940s and later freight consists. At the end of World War II, railroads ordered large numbers of 50' AAR boxcars based on a standard design first widely used in the late 1940s. These 50' boxcars were a common sight on American railroads well into the 1970s and 1980s.
This detailed Atlas model features details such as separately applied ladders and grab irons, three different roadname-appropriate side sill styles - straight, tabbed and fishbelly; Superior or Youngstown doors, a detailed underframe, free-rollign trucks, metal wheelsets, fine decoration and Accumate(R) couplers.
