Your well detailed Atlas Trackside Shanty is typical of the countless any unpretentious little shanties that were once found at just about any railroad installation. It can serve as an office in an engine terminal or small yard, or as a shelter for a grade crossing watchman or anywhere else at a rail faciltiy as a place for a railroad workman to come in out of the cold. Many can still be found today serving the same purpose.
