First manufactured in the 1960s, the Evans 53’ Boxcar set the standard for modern freight transportation. Featuring distinctive double plug doors, the cars were constructed with insulation for better temperature control, making them suitable for handling a wide variety of loads from bottled beverages and non-perishable foods to cut lumber and paper products.
