This Bowser Executive Line DeWitt RS3M is based on former Alco RS3 diesels which were output by a rebuild program performed in the early 1970s by the Penn Central's DeWitt shops in Syracuse, NY. These were dubbed with the nickname "DeWitt Geeps," as they were converted from standard Alco RS3s equipped with the EMD 567B prime movers and components recycled from surplus EMD E-units.
This model features a roadname-appropriate details. Also included are factory-installed air hoses, windshield wipers, grab irons, coupler lift bars and window glazing. It's equipped with an operating headlight, can motor, dual flywheels, nickel silver wheels with RP25 flanges and knuckle couplers for smooth, reliable operation. The recommended minimum radius is 18".
This RS3M is equipped with a LokSound V5 Sound and DCC decoder. The RS3M is one of many Bowser HO Scale locomotives.
