BLI 6763 HO Scale I1sa 2-10-0 Steam Loco with Short Tender Pennsylvania PRR 4524 DCC/Sound/Paragon4

In 1916, the Pennsy railroad developed a new, supersized 2-10-0 steam engine that was powerful enough to move the tremendous amounts of coal and ore being moved on the system. Initial tests were impressive, and between 1918 and 1923, the PRR built 598 Class I1s Decapods. They were the largest 2-10-0 steam locomotives in the United States, and they became the dominant freight locomotives on the PRR railroad system until World War II.
