The Choo Choo Vision 8-Inch Camera Installation Kit places a live wireless camera inside an N-scale specialty
car, or inside an HO-scale or larger dummy locomotive or piece of rolling stock. The flexible 8-inch lens assembly
allows the camera body to be mounted where interior space is available while positioning the lens at the
locomotive cab window, nose, headlight opening, end of a car, or another preferred viewing location.
Watch your railroad in real time from the cab on a computer, smartphone, tablet, or compatible throttle display.
Record video, capture still images, share your layout with friends, or use the cab view during local and remote
operating sessions.
The included DCC track-power converter supplies power from the rails and includes an integrated keep-alive to
help maintain operation across brief interruptions in track power. A magnetic ON/OFF switch allows the camera
to be controlled without removing the locomotive shell.
Why Choose the 8-Inch Lens?
The 8-inch flexible lens assembly is intended for installations where the camera body must be placed away from
the desired viewing location. In HO scale and larger models, the camera can be mounted toward the rear or
center of a dummy locomotive or rolling stock. In N scale, the camera can be installed inside larger specialty
rolling stock, such as a Hi-Cube boxcar or auto carrier, while the lens is routed to the end of the car or forward
toward the locomotive cab.
N-Scale Installation Kit
This 8-Inch Camera Installation Kit also serves as the Choo Choo Vision N-scale installation kit. The camera body
can be concealed inside larger N-scale rolling stock, including a Hi-Cube boxcar, auto carrier, or other suitable

car, while the long flexible lens is positioned at the end of the car or routed toward the locomotive for the desired
view. The included DCC track-power converter, integrated keep-alive, and magnetic ON/OFF switch support a
permanent, track-powered N-scale installation.
Easy Installation
Connect the two track-power leads to a powered truck or other suitable DCC pickup point. Secure the camera
and power converter inside the locomotive or rolling-stock shell, route the flexible lens to the selected opening,
and position the magnetic switch where it can be activated through the shell. Installation requirements vary by
model, and some modification may be required.
