ESU 51970 I/O Expansion Board For 21 Pin LokSound & LokPilot Decoders ~ 4 Aux
Active extender board containing a pulsed smoke generator (see separate listing), 4 Servo controllers, interface to ESU Power Pack and interface for 2 (wheel) magnetic or hall sensors.
The smoke generator controller is syncronised to the sound of the loco. The heater temperature is actively controlled (temp sensor in smoke generator) and settable for different scenarios. The fan is sycronised to motor speed (Diesel) or chuffs (Steam). The different scenarios, motor start, idle, heavy load, driving, coasting are part of computing amount of steam and the fan speed. All parameters can be modified using the ESU LOKProgrammer.
The 4 Servo outputs are mapped to AUX7 - AUX10. Two positions and the operational speed can be defined for each servo. The servo itself can be any small RC-servo as used in model helicopters for example. Common application is the operation of a pantograph on an electric loco.
The Extender board carries a LokSound V4.0 21MTC and is attached to either an existing 21MTC socket within the loco or the ESU 21 Adapter pcb (see separate listing).
