Built in 1969, this 40’ high cube boxcar with Roller Bearing trucks was used in an appliance shipping capacity. Founded in 1859, the Chicago & North Western quickly grew into a large Class 1 railroad headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. C&NW is now part of Union Pacific, exclusively a freight railroad with over 32,000 miles of track, but prior to 1971, C&NW operated numerous passenger trains and services.
