E. Kahn’s Sons Co. leased around 75 reefers from the National Car Company, a subsidiary of Fruit Growers Express. This car featured brine tanks and meat rails, and was repainted in November 1951. E. Kahn’s Sons Co. was a large meat processor, founded in 1883 and based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
