Built by Great Northern’s St. Cloud Car Shops in 1949, this 40’ boxcar was 3,775 cubic feet in capacity and was used in general service. Great Northern was a Class 1 railroad founded in 1881 and eventually was merged with Northern Pacific, and others, to form Burlington Northern Railroad in 1970.
