These 1,995 cubic foot capacity gondolas were built for Great Northern and eventually made their way to the Burlington Northern fleet. They featured 10” coupler travel and a nailable steel floor. Burlington Northern was formed through the mergers of Great Northern and Northern Pacific in 1970, and then merged with ATSF in 1995 to form BNSF.
