This BNSF 100-ton boxcar in series 712961-713095 has been repainted in the bold heritage (speedlettered) scheme. Built in 1976, the cars have received Christmas handiwork on the sides. Burlington Northern was formed through the mergers of Great Northern and Northern Pacific in 1970, and then merged with ATSF in 1995 to form BNSF.
