These pairs of trucks replicates the 70-ton Barber S-2-A design produced with solid bearing wheelsets. This offering is ONLY the trucks without wheelsets, included are the brake beams, washes and screws. Three pairs of trucks total.
The idea is you choose your own wheelsets.
The 70t Barber S-2-A with solid bearing wheelsets were the mainstay of most 70t cars throughout the fifties to the eighties and beyond. This was a truck that the cost conscience railroad would buy but still afford the trucking capabilities and qualities of a common Barber S-2-A design. Erie Lackawanna, D&H and Conrail used this truck amongst others.
