This Decoder Buddy has the super capacitors on board that align with the holes in the ScaleTrains frame. The Decoder Buddy V8 was developed to address the migration of LEDs from the shell to the frame of the locomotive, to provide a stay alive that works with all DCC decoders and give people the ability to use all decoders to their maximum potential. The ease of upgrade and the reliability of soldered joints along with the departure from the rigidity of plug in lighting connectors makes this a very good candidate for upgrades and conversions.
- For full sized locomotives with extensive frame mounted lighting (ScaleTrains, Rapido, Bowser Intermountain and other current run locomotives)
- Popular 21-pin decoders from ESU, SoundTraxx, TCS, Digitrax and NCE easily fit the 21-pin socket
- Up to 12 lighting outputs accessible depending on the decoder
- 12-pin socket and plug, fully removable for easy separation of loco shell and chassis
- Need for troublesome pogo-pins eliminated
- Power Bridge III stay alive onboard that works with ALL manufacturers' decoders (capacitor versions)
