The Rix Highway Overpass for HO scale is modeled after the bridges built during the 1930s and 1940s to span over railroad tracks. This style of the bridge was used all over the country and is common to most people. The Rix Highway Overpass consist of 50 foot (6-7/8 inches) and spans 25 scale feet ( 3-7/16 inches) wide which interlock together so that any length of a bridge can be built. The piers are designed to be adjustable so that raising (up to 5-1/2 inches tall) or lowering the bridge for different heights is quick and easy.
