Chessie System (B&O) “1979+” illustrates Chessie I-18s that have been modernized. Specifically, these 1973 Chessie DuBois paint jobs are being offered in their 1979 configuration. What does that mean for these models? First, the Pyle side markers have been replaced with the later era Chessie Box Markers. Gone is the underframe toilet pipe, replaced with the waste holding tank and chlorinator. FRA red flashers have been installed on the ends.
