Drop-in motherboard for Athearn "Ready-to-Roll" and "Blue Box" diesel locomotives. On-board 1.5V power suppy. Must be used with a 21-pin decoder (sold separately)
This motherboard is designed to replace the original lighting board in the Athearn Diesel Ready-To-Roll locomotives. Included on this motherboard is a KA4 Keep Alive® for smooth operation over troublesome tracks.
The RTR-MB1 motherboard features a clip on the underside which will slip onto the Athearn motor.
NOTE: This product does not function without a decoder. Pick up an EU821 or WOW121 decoder to use this product. Pair with a WOW121 for unparalleled sound and interruption-free performance.
NOTE: TCS motherboards feature on-board resistors for use with LED's. This motherboard also features an on-board 1.5V regulated power supply for use with "grain of wheat" incandescent bulbs found factory-installed in many Athearn locomotives.
