WifiTrax Workshop Adapter Module ~ 6 Pin Socket ~ FWA-20
The FWA-20 provides capability to use our WifiTrax Workshop Windows software to update the firmware in your WifiTrax module. The module contains a USB/Serial adapter chip mounted on a PCB and with grabber leads attached. The ribbon cable is attached to the 6-pin socket on on your WifiTrax module to communicate with the serial interface of the on-boad microprocessor. Attaching the module forces the microprocessor into boot mode which allows loading of firmware updates from WifiTrax using our WifiTrax Workshop software. You can also use the module to perform other serial operations with the module as may be later defined.

Input
USB Mini-B (5-pin) Connector. Connects via a USB cable to your Windows computer.
Outputs
6-way ribbon cable with plug for connection to WifiTrax module under update.
Pin 1 Ground.
Pin 2 RXD - Serial data received TO WifiTrax Module being updated.
Pin 3 TXD - Serial data transmitted FROM WifiTrax Module being updated (e.g. WFD-30, WFD-31 etc.)
Pin 4 /PGM - Pulled low by the WFA-20 to place WifiTrax Module in boot mode.
Pin 3 3.3 Volts.
Pin 4 5 Volts or Not Connected.
