This pair of trucks replicates the 100-ton Barber design produced with roller bearing wheelsets. Specifically, the pattern design is from the Gould Foundry Co. plant, Depew (Buffalo), NY. This variation has the Stucki HS-6 Snubber placed in the central outer spring position. This offering comes with STANDARD 0.110" width tread wheelsets, separate brake beams and screws.
The 100t Barber S-2-C HS-6 Snubber with roller bearing wheelsets were a special type of truck design starting in the early seventies and eighties and beyond. This was a design to deal with the increase on cars that Exceeded Plate C or ones that have higher centre of gravity like covered hoppers to stop excessive sway.
