This pair of trucks replicates the 70-ton Barber design produced with roller bearing wheelsets. Specifically the pattern design is from the St. Louis, IL Scullin Steel Co. plant, Frisco pattern. This variation has the Stucki HS-6 Snubber placed in the central outer position to give extra stability to Hi-cube cars and/or top sway of any cars. This offering comes with SEMI_SCALE 0.088" width tread wheelsets, separate brake beams, washes and screws.
The 70t Barber S-2-C HS-6 Snubber with roller bearing wheelsets were a special type of truck design starting in the early seventies and eighties and beyond. This was a design to deal with the increase on cars that Exceeded Plate C.
